Opened in 2009 and owned by Verve Senior Living, Stouffville Creek Retirement Residence is a cozy and comfortable place to call home with its uncommon luxury and understated elegance. Nestled in the heart of Stouffville, the residence is just off Main Street; a quiet oasis in the midst of a vibrant community and in very close proximity to pharmacies, shops and restaurants. We offer Independent Living and Assisted Living Options. With our “Living Loving Local” Ontario Harvest Season dining experience, Stouffville Creek’s Farm to Table delicacies are sure to please the most discriminating palates! The lifestyle at our residence includes two exceptional chef-inspired meals daily, an enhanced continental breakfast and snacks 24/7. Our fully licensed Bistro/Pub features an outstanding menu that includes delicious shrimp tacos, spring rolls, fabulous burgers and salads. Our Health and Wellness offers a personalized care plan, 24-hr nursing & emergency response system and emergency pendants. Our amenities include recreation, dining room, a private dining room for family get togethers, bistro, lounge, theatre, spa & salon, fitness centre, library and garden gazebos. Our country-inspired community offers great suite layouts with kitchenettes, large walk in closets, balconies and beautifully appointed bathrooms with a walk-in shower and built-in seats. What supports do you offer residents as they adjust to life there?
Our Life Enrichment programs help integrate residents into their new home by encouraging them to be social with fellow residents and leverage their common experiences to develop new and meaningful relationships. Our activities cover a variety of interests including fitness, fall prevention classes, art and social events, gardening, book clubs, and more; there's something for everyone!
We make it a priority to encourage our residents to attend social gatherings on a regular basis while at the same time recognizing that as a resident, you have the autonomy to decide the type of support or interaction that you want.
How are residents supported if their needs change?
We understand that residents’ needs can evolve over time, and our goal is to make sure support is always available when it’s needed. Our care team works diligently with residents and families to adjust services as circumstances change. That might include additional wellness support, help with daily routines, or coordination with healthcare professionals like nurses or physiotherapists. Because we get to know residents personally, we can respond quickly and thoughtfully. This helps residents remain comfortable, safe, and confident.

The nurses, physiotherapist, etc. ensured my well-being and aided in the healing process. Myth: I will lose my independence
Myth: I will lose my independence and my health will continue to decline... Or at least, that’s what I thought. Before Stouffville Creek, my health was declining. Since I’ve lived here, through exercise class, brain gym and the social and recreational events, I feel stronger and healthier than ever, allowing me to offer my family a more emotionally and physically fit me.

Myth: I can’t afford to live in a retirement residence
Myth: I can't afford to live in a retirement residence.... “Or at least, that’s what I thought. Then, I made a list of expenses in my own home; heating, electricity, gas, insurance, water, taxes, maintenance fees, house repairs, entertainment, exercise fee’s and more. Then comes food costs, the amount of waste when cooking for one, not to mention the cost to my health of preparing three meals a day for myself. Add to that, the stress of looking after the yard, the snow, etc. Then I realized the value of Stouffville Creek.”
