We can offer a buddy system for new residents. This helps them build a sense of belonging. All the managers meet with our new residents allowing them to get to know them. This allows them to feel comfortable with our staff. Our dining room is open seating, creating an environment that helps them get to know other residents. We also encourage family to visit to help make the transition easier.
At River Ridge Seniors Village, we ease the transition with personalized tours, warm welcomes, and a resident-first philosophy. New residents are encouraged to visit before move-in to meet staff and explore the community. Our recreation team offers engaging activities like Happy Hour, movie nights, and seasonal events to foster connection. We exceed expectations because we genuinely care for our residents. We try our hardest to make our new residents feel included. Our Life Enrichment is a wonderful team, that plans many outings throughout the year. Our staff understands that each resident is an individual and we treat them as such. We get to know each resident, who they are, and what their life story is.
Many residents are surprised by how quickly River Ridge feels like home. Despite initial concerns about leaving their house, they often discover a vibrant, welcoming community with caring staff and new friendships. Social hour with wine and drinks, engaging activities, and personalized attention exceed expectations. Residents also appreciate the peaceful river views and the flexibility of care options. Our focus will remain on enhancing the resident experience through attentive care, meaningful engagement, and an environment where each person feels valued. Growth for us means strengthening the sense of home and belonging that residents and families already trust.
River Ridge is focused on strengthening resident satisfaction and operational excellence. Plans include upgrading recreation programming to better match resident expectations, improving food quality, and enhancing communication. A CRM update is underway to streamline resident engagement, and ongoing training through the Sales Academy will support staff development. Marketing will shift toward online reputation management and community outreach. These changes reflect River Ridge’s mission to provide compassionate, personalized care in a vibrant, connected environment

1. We are located in Canada's only provincial border city.
2. We have 131 suites between our two buildings, Dr. Hemstock and Hearthstone Place.
3. We can easily accommodate dietary needs. Whether it is a low-sodium, diabetic, celiac, or you have allergies, we can incorporate it.
4. We have a receptionist working seven days a week, including holidays. They are a friendly team, that are happy to help with our resident’s needs.
5. Each suite has the resident’s names outside so that friends and family know where they are.
