How we see River Ridge Seniors Village
The village layout of this community takes us back to the small-town feeling of yesteryear. You can visit a hair salon and barbershop, replete with barbers pole. A library, a bistro, the Vineyard dining, and a chapel round out services you’d expect “downtown.” A unique sense of familiarity and comfort comes out of this, even for those who grew up in a city. Everything is right here.
River Ridge gives Medicine Hat and area caregiving families a premium destination for their loved ones. You'll find a complete continuum of care in a beautiful, warm, caring environment. This is a wonderful place for everyone, especially couples where one spouse requires extended care. Caregiving spouses who move here love that they can be under the same roof as their partner, see them several times daily, and at the same time, have their life back.
There’s so much more to praise about this location, beginning with the quality of the location. The community overlooks the South Saskatchewan River, and you’re mere minutes off the highway, making it very convenient for family to visit from out of town. Residents may move units if their care level changes, but many remain within the same community. We also welcome external providers to supplement care when needed. Families value our flexibility, proactive planning, and commitment to continuity and dignity.

Clair Flores brings over a decade of dedicated service and invaluable expertise to our Park Place team. She joined our company in 2009, beginning her journey at Newport Harbour in Calgary before moving to Medicine Hat and transitioning to River Ridge in 2019, where she started as our esteemed Nursing Manager and is now our Site Leader.
With a rich background that spans clinical environments ranging from hospitals to medical offices, Clair's depth of experience is evident in her compassionate patient care and strong leadership skills. Her journey within the healthcare industry has equipped her with a profound understanding of the intricacies involved in delivering exceptional healthcare services.
River Ridge holds a special place in Clair's heart, as she fondly describes it as her second home. She attributes this sentiment to the incredible team she works alongside, highlighting their dedication, professionalism, and collaborative spirit as key factors in creating a supportive and thriving work environment.
