The Vineyards Residence proudly joined the Walk for Alzheimer’s, raising $1,500 and walking with 40 residents, families, and staff to support dementia care and research in our community.
On Sunday, May 25th, The Vineyards Residence proudly joined the Kelowna community at City Park for the IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's, an inspiring event dedicated to raising awareness and critical funds for the Alzheimer Society of B.C. This annual walk supports programs and services for families navigating the dementia journey and helps fund essential research into changing the future of Alzheimer’s disease.
This marks our third consecutive year as a sponsor of this meaningful event, and once again, The Vineyards showed up in full force! With nearly 40 residents, staff, and family members walking together, our team demonstrated not just solidarity with those affected by Alzheimer’s, but also our commitment to making a real difference in our community.
We’re proud to share that The Vineyards Residence raised almost $1,500 this year toward the cause!
The morning was filled with heartwarming energy. The Lions Club generously served up hot dogs by donation, and the soulful sounds of jazz singer Anna Jacyszyn filled the park, creating a festive atmosphere of music, connection, and compassion. A variety of booths, including one from The Vineyards, provided attendees with the opportunity to learn more about dementia support services and connect with others on a similar journey.
We are grateful to everyone who contributed, whether by walking, donating, or simply cheering us on. The success of this event reflects the strength and spirit of the Kelowna community, and we at The Vineyards Residence are honoured to be part of it.
