The Vineyards Residence honours Moms.
On Saturday, May 10th, The Vineyards Residence in Kelowna hosted a truly memorable Mother’s Day High Tea in honour of the remarkable mothers in our community. Held in the breathtaking Vista Lounge and Bluff Pub on the 5th floor, the event featured two elegant seatings at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, each welcoming 40 residents and their guests.
Guests were greeted with beautifully presented tea cup gifts filled with tea and chocolates, a sweet token to mark the occasion. At each seating, a special necklace draw delighted one lucky mom, adding a touch of sparkle to the celebration.
The afternoon featured a delightful menu including devilled eggs with paprika and chives, lemon scones served with jam and butter, and an array of finger sandwiches—ham and brie, cucumber with cream cheese, smoked salmon with lemon jelly, and classic chicken salad. Dessert was a decadent affair, with lemon meringue tarts, macarons, and chocolate profiteroles served alongside a selection of fine teas.
Adding to the ambiance, Paul, a dedicated volunteer, serenaded guests with the warm tones of his cello, creating a calming and elegant atmosphere that perfectly matched the occasion.
From the thoughtful details to the delicious fare and live music, the event was a beautiful celebration of the love and appreciation we hold for the mothers in our lives. It was a day to remember—and everyone left feeling cherished.
