Our Perspective

How we see The Camelot

The Camelot is ideal for people who want something more intimate in a retirement residence, offering a cozily private community of peers. Among Victoria retirement homes, this is a unique, boutique-style community. You can come and go as you please, with a ready set of companions and friends living in the same building. Set in a quiet residential neighbourhood, people who are more introspective or artsy may find this to be a comfortable way to settle into retirement living.

For all its intimacy and comfort, the Camelot offers the accoutrements you might expect from a larger retirement home. Housekeeping and dishes are taken care of here, care staff is on hand, there’s a full service dining room with table service, and a daily schedule of activities. There’s also a reading room and a landscaped yard with a gazebo, adding to the peaceful moments made possible.

We especially like the suites here, with every apartment featuring a private balcony or patio. Even one-bedroom suites are exceptionally roomy, with kitchens in an open-concept style. It’s all together ideal for people seeking the security of a retirement home in a peaceful setting.

Community’s Perspective

How The Camelot sees itself

Who are you as a community?

Built in 1998, the Camelot is located in the heart of James Bay. We offer a warm comfortable home environment in a quiet location, right downtown by the Inner Harbour. With 34 suites, Camelot offers Boutique Independent Retirement Living with Supportive Services. Rents include Evening Meals Daily, Weekly Housekeeping and Heavy Laundry Services. Camelot is a great place to make new friends, enjoy conversations and activities in the common lounge or out on the lovely garden patio.

What do you do differently or uniquely well?

At Nova Pacific Homes, our boutique residences are designed to be warm, welcoming, and beautifully personal. With a small number of residential suites, life here stays intimate and connected—the kind of place where everyone knows your name, friendships form naturally, and you never feel like “just another resident.”Meals and activities aren’t big, crowded events—they feel more like gatherings with family and friends, full of laughter, conversation, and comfort. For families, that means peace of mind knowing your loved one is in a place that’s safe, supportive, and genuinely caring—a community where they can enjoy independence while still being surrounded by people who truly look out for them. Boutique living, family feeling, real connection
