How are residents supported if their needs change?

If a resident’s or second occupant’s health or care needs change and become greater than what private care services can provide, the Executive Director may assess the situation. If the needs exceed the services offered at The Florentine, the resident or their responsible person is required to find alternate accommodations. The Executive Director will assist by providing information about additional care services but will not provide care beyond what is contracted for.

If a senior needs constant supervision, frequent health monitoring, or extensive medical care, The Florentine is not suitable, as it is designed for independent living.

We’re not suited for seniors needing daily medical assistance or memory care, as our focus is on self-sufficient residents. Interior Health home care or 3rd party home care can help with medical assistance and other assisted living stuff.

Prospects seeking 24/7 healthcare services and constant supervision would not find it here.
