I want to thank Katherine Mayers and her team for a wonderful tour. What a great building, offering all levels of care, and the food is amazing.
Our family had a tremendous customer-service experience with Aysha and the rest of the team at The Shores. Aysha has been extremely patient & kind as our Mother struggled to decide where to move. In the end, Mom decided she wants to stay in Etobicoke, and we hope she will land somewhere equally warm & welcoming.
My mother and I went for a tour recently at Port Credit Shores, and we absolutely loved it! The facility itself is very well kept with modern yet elegant touches throughout. As we walked through the recreational areas, I almost felt as though I was at an all-inclusive high-end resort! Residents seemed refreshed, happy, and at ease. Those we had an opportunity to speak with had only great things to say. The several activities offered allow residents to live an active lifestyle and nurture relationships. Katherine, who is the Community Relations Manager we had the pleasure of dealing with, was very informative and helpful. Residents seemed to gravitate toward her warm energy and positive presence. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would highly consider this home for my parents!
Moving into the apartments was quick and easy. The staff was very helpful and courteous. I'm all settled and comfortable here.
Wow, what an incredible place to have your loved one live! I was looking for my mom and was so impressed with Shores! It was absolutely beautiful, but more importantly, every person I came into contact with were amazing. In particular, Bradley was a tremendous help to me in providing answers to all my questions and really going above and beyond to help me with my decision. You can tell he is a genuine person who really cares about helping you find the best fit for your loved one. Ultimately, I decided on a place closer to mine and my sister’s homes that may fit her needs better in the future, but it was such a difficult decision! Thank you, Bradley, and every other gem I came into contact with at Shores of Port Credit!
The experience at The Shores of Port Credit was outstanding from beginning to end. For months, I searched for a place where my 97-year-old mom could be safe and cared for while I took a break as a caregiver. The whole experience was superb, from the tour with Jamie, through the assessment with Prabh, and then the staff in memory care being responsive and kind, while keeping an open communication with the emergency contact (while I was away), to the day I picked her up. The place is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, but most of al,l the people are the best, and they are the ones that make the difference.
Katherine took me on a lovely tour of this beautiful facility. She provided all the necessary information regarding a possible respite stay and answered all of my questions. Katherine was professional and approachable, and made my decision to reserve a spot so much easier!
We toured the Shores with Brad for my elderly mom, who has Alzheimer's. He was great at explaining everything and taking the time to introduce up to specific caregivers. The facilities were beautiful, and we put a deposit down right away. Our hesitation ultimately was the fact that our mom had already been struggling with her disease, so we ended up choosing a facility that could support her beyond her current condition. They really were gorgeous facilities, and it seemed like a lovely community.
PSWs are the best. They are trying their best to accommodate my requests. Care here is also excellent.
My virtual meeting with Bradley Watson, Community Relations Manager for a tour of The Shores of Port Credit was very informative. He shared details on how the Retirement Home process works at The Shores of Port Credit, as well as some of the elements to consider when weighing the pros and cons of selecting a Retirement Home vs a Long-Term Care facility. I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual tour, including seeing some of the rich experiences that would be available to my mom were she to become part of the community.
Meeting Bradley was a breath of fresh air, and he felt like a lifeline, as this situation is so complex and daunting. I came out of our meeting much more informed about some of the items that my family and I should consider as we advocate for the best experience for our mom.
Beautiful, very well-kept facility and most of all clean! Catherine has done an excellent presentation of all the offered services. We love the place and are seriously considering, when we're ready to move.
When our parents moved to the Shores of Port Credit two years ago, they discovered a wonderful community of friends and support. They were embraced by the kind residents and staff, enjoyed the great food in the beautiful dining room, and participated in many fun activities. Sadly, our mom passed away not long after they moved in, but our father was able to recover thanks to everyone at the Shores. He was on his own, but never alone. He thrived thanks to the residents, caring medical staff, healthy meals, and activities. The Shores also became our home away from home as my sister and I loved having meals with him, playing pool and spending time with his friends. Unfortunately, our father died earlier this year. But we are so grateful our parents made the decision to move to the Shores. As our father once said, “I always thought my world would get smaller if I lived in a seniors’ residence. Instead, my world got bigger and richer.”
I recently visited Shores Port Credit and was impressed by the excellent service provided by the servers. They were attentive, friendly, and made my dining experience enjoyable.
We moved mum here 8 months ago to the memory floor from a retirement home. They take excellent care of her. They make sure she eats since she loves to leave the table right away. They make sure she exercises and try and keep her engaged. Mum will often speak to them in Italian and it’s never been an issue. Her room is always tidy and mum is always clean. The PSWs are amazing. They are usually joking and laughing with mum. They give her hugs and mum loves it and eats it up!
Every time I come (which is often) they are busy with the seniors. Dolores is talented and heads up multiple activities and entertainment. She’s talented herself! Even though mum loses interest sometimes in activities, they still go and get her. She’s free to come and go as she likes. The staff contacts me when she’s short of supplies. They keep me updated on everything. Any concerns or questions I may have are always dealt with immediately. They are both professional and friendly.
The facility is gorgeous. The grounds are welcoming. During the warmer months we always go outside for a walk and sit and have tea & cookies. They always have snacks available too. When we take mum out, she eventually always wants to go home which is a good sign. The food is great and mum never complains. Lots of activities and entertainment. A hairdresser is downstairs, so the lifestyle is wonderful. Life has been great at The Shores so far. We are happy with our decision.
The Shores has been kind enough to allow our monthly group meeting of seniors to be held in their facility. The facility and staff and both professional and friendly. It's a great place and we appreciate the support it has shown us.
A beautiful facility with friendly and attentive staff who strived to meet our every need. Aysha was especially sweet, answering all my questions and returning all phone calls and emails promptly. This is a great place to stay with all the amenities close by. Katherine was so kind and she gave us a great tour. Alysha even came to visit my husband in the hospital after his surgery.
I would like to thank the engagement and management team at this community for their utmost dedication and professionalism. I approached them recently to help determine the best solution for my aunt. Special thanks to Aysha, Shantal, and Neil for pulling out all the stops to have my aunt's and family's needs assessed in a timely manner. Your excellent customer service is hard to match!
The Shores of Port Credit is top-notch! Bradley took his time to take my family and me around their property and explained everything perfectly so that we could make a more informed decision with respect to my father.... We were very grateful for Bradley and his genuine passion for what he does. The facilities are awesome and the 3 levels of care is ideal for seniors with the onset of memory issues. I highly recommend The Shore of Port Credit for folks who like the finer things in life and who deserve to be spoiled.
We had the pleasure of touring The Shores of Port Credit over the weekend with Catherine Mayers. She did an exceptional job offering us information about the residence and answering all our questions in a concise and professional manner. We are very impressed with the residence and the suites we toured. The move for my 92 year old mother in law is not imminent but this option so far is at the top of our list.
I recently moved my parents to the Shores of Port Credit, and the staff has been very welcoming. Everyone we met, from the managers to the concierges and nurses, has been friendly and accommodating — making my parents' transition to a retirement community comfortable and smooth. The building itself is well-located and quite new, with many amenities and activities for residents on-site. With the different levels of care available, I know my parents will be safe and supported, should their needs change. If you have any questions, I would recommend Bradley Watson. He and others there have been very helpful and quick with answers and suggestions whenever I have questions.
Recently had a tour of this fantastic residence in Port Credit. The shared spaces are so beautiful and airy. The individual suite I saw was so bright and well laid out. All the amenities that are available to residents are remarkable: cafe, wine storage units, game room, and on and on. The staff are wonderful to work and collaborate with. Looking forward to spending more time in this glorious space.
Professional service and care from Bradley and staff. The Shores of PC was the one and only place my Mother-in-law viewed. She didn't care to see other places as she was more than pleased and impressed with The Shores. Administration accommodated my MIL's requests, which made her transition much easier. Kenny and Ellis, made the move-in day seamless and are always available to help or just around to greet you with a friendly smile and chat. Friends and family who have visited can't believe it's a retirement residence:) Big, bright, stylish, like a boutique residence. Truly the gem of Retirement Residences.
During my recent visit to the facility to gather information about their services, I was thoroughly impressed. This establishment stands out as one of the finest state-of-the-art Senior Care facilities in Mississauga. Bradley, one of the managers who assisted us, was truly exceptional. He went above and beyond to provide us with a wealth of informative material. I couldn't have asked for a more informative and pleasant experience.
Beautiful and elegant with a fantastic location not far from the lake.
We are approaching our first year of residency at The Shores after spending the last 22 years permanently living in Naples, Florida. After many hours searching on the internet and several days visiting retirement homes in southern Ontario, we chose The Shores at 270 Lakeshore Road West. Due to COVID and the ongoing construction, we were not able to see the independent living units when we visited and had to choose from the layouts. Although a difficult decision, we were very impressed with the helpful and knowledgeable staff, the detailed information presented, and the excellent layouts of the 2 buildings – independent living and the attached care facility. Another important item was that the project was being put together by Verve Senior Living, a Canadian Company with lots of experience in senior living with units throughout Canada, especially in Ontario. We were looking for independent living, but having access to a next-door care facility, if required in the future, was very important to both of us. All of our expectations were met or exceeded by the wonderful staff, the excellent construction, the spacious room layouts, the delicious meals, and the planned activities. We could not have made a better decision of making The Shores our new home.
This is our chosen home for life.
I am looking forward to moving from the Verve Residence in Port Credit to their new community ,The Shores of Pt Credit just a few blocks further west. The same great geographic location by the shores of Lake Ontario and the pleasant downtown area of Pt Credit with convenient shopping, restaurants. parklands and recreational facilities of the historic Credit river entering Lake Ontario. We anticipate the excellent services we enjoy at our current Verve Facility will continue and probably be even expanded with their state-of-the-art community. Of importance to us, as a couple, is the existence of the Wellness Services and Assisted Living and Memory Care Households that would allow us to live in the same building with extended care as we age together in the same community that offers a high quality of life for senior citizens.
