Looking for a place for a loved one, we really appreciate Teodora and her caring, straightforward approach. We appreciate her taking the time to ask questions about my dad, and trying to see the whole person, and she explained a lot about searching for retirement homes. We ended up deciding to go to a different city, but had we chosen Mississauga, we would have chosen this facility.

We moved my mom into Evergreen Retirement Home about a year ago, and it has been a very positive experience for her and for us, as a family. One of the biggest deciding factors was that she could control the heat in her own room. That may sound small, but it mattered a lot to her. We toured another retirement home where this wasn’t possible, and it was a deal-breaker. At Evergreen, she loves coming back to a room that’s warmer than most people would prefer, and that comfort has made a real difference in how happy she feels there.
The staff are consistently kind, friendly, and cheerful with her. Before moving in, my mom was living alone after my father passed away, and it was isolating. Her mobility had declined, and she was mostly just moving between the kitchen and her bed. Now she has people around her, a full schedule of activities if she wants them, and a reason to get out of her room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals can be delivered, but sitting at a table with others has been great for her socially.
Evergreen has also taken a lot of pressure off of us as her kids. Knowing she’s well cared for gives us real peace of mind. PSWs help her with things like showers when needed, and there’s excellent access to healthcare. She’s been able to see an on-site doctor and even booked an appointment with an ear specialist who visits once a month, which is incredibly convenient.
A special thank you to Teodora Elez, who guided us through the entire process. She showed us around, visited my mom at her home with other team members, and took the time to make my mom feel comfortable with what could have been a difficult transition. That personal care meant a lot to our family.
I often sit with my mom at meals and chat with the other residents, and they are just as friendly and welcoming as the staff. Evergreen is full of good people, and I’m genuinely glad my mom is there. It’s been a very positive experience.

My mother and aunt have been at Evergreen for the past 11 months. My neighbor's grandmother and two of her friends are also at Evergreen for a while, and they love it (they have all become friends in the community). During this Christmas season, there were plenty of decorations, and it felt like a large family gathering there. Seeing residents so happy as they gather together (including my mother and aunt) made me feel happy that we brought them to Evergreen. The staff were dressed up, and the environment was warm and inviting. I could tell that they put a lot of effort into making everyone feel like one happy family. I was recommended to Evergreen by a colleague who has both his parents since 2024, and we are both delighted with the treatment our family has received to date. ... My father has recently gone through some humbling health issues, resulting in him having to give up his home, his car, his ability to drive, and his fully independent living. I found Evergreen Retirement Community in Mississauga, and due in large part to their friendly, compassionate, and helpful sales representative, Teodora, we quickly took a leap of faith and encouraged our father to give it a try on a trial basis. We have not looked back. The Evergreen staff are incredibly service-oriented. They care about the comfortable stay of their residents and go above and beyond to provide support. The Nursing staff there, led by the Health and Wellness Manager, Melody De Guzman, is superb. One day, they noticed that my dad was not smiling properly and immediately called the ambulance, which allowed him to get the medical attention he needed. The residents carry an alarm system around their neck wherever they go, and with one push of a button, a team of nurses and other staff will immediately mobilize to provide assistance, knowing his exact location. Melody has personally arranged for countless home visits from Dynacare to allow for blood work to take place from the convenience of my dad’s residence. Without this service, I don’t know how I would have been able to manage all of my father’s numerous blood requisitions. They even have a driving service to get my dad to appointments, should we need to leverage it. The kitchen staff is also excellent, giving the residents a five-star restaurant experience every day, with quality service and great-tasting food, sensibly cooked to meet the health challenges of many residents. I can personally speak to how great the food and service is being a frequent visitor to the establishment’s dinery. I am certainly glad that we found Evergreen and I wholeheartedly recommend the community as a place to trust your loved one’s care to.

The process of moving is never easy, and change can be challenging for anyone. However, Teodora made the entire experience very smooth right from the start. She answered our many questions and showed great patience while explaining all of the options available at the center. She also connected us with the appropriate staff members to address any concerns/questions we had.
Teresa was helpful in providing information about food options and dietary choices. This provided clarity as we explored what the center has to offer.
Overall, we are grateful for the support, professionalism, and kindness shown throughout this process, and our mother is really enjoying her new home!

We checked out about 12 retirement homes before deciding on Evergreen. Most retirement homes offered the same amenities, but the big difference at Evergreen was the friendliness of the residents and the staff. We have not been disappointed in our choice and very quickly felt at home. Natasha and all the staff have gone out of their way to help us. Our computer wasn’t hooked up properly, and they immediately had a staff person come up to fix it for us. We had trouble hanging a large grandfather clock, and someone from maintenance came to do it for us. Natasha introduced us to other residents to help us fit in. They were all very welcoming. We can’t thank Natasha enough for her helpfulness in making a smooth transition to our new home. If you’re looking to move to a retirement home, please put Evergreen at the top of your list!

We were looking for a place for my mother-in-law (MIL), and visited a few places in Mississauga. At Evergreen, I met with Teodora, who was extremely warm and personable. She also accommodated us to come in to see the place, on such a short notice, on the same day with my MIL!
My MIL was having a hard time making the decision, but decided to put the deposit down for the studio unit after meeting Teodora and is now on the waitlist. We are not in a rush at the moment, and it is nice to have peace of mind knowing that my MIL has a spot ready when a unit becomes available. Looking forward to visiting her there in the future.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time I spent at Evergreen retirement home during my recreation therapy placement. It was a truly meaningful experience that I will always carry with me. Had a great guided tour and discussion with Theodora at Evergreen. We were impressed by the openness of the common areas and the daily activities offered to residents. I was searching and searching for some place that would let me stay for 1 week after my ankle replacement surgery. When I found Evergreen Retirement, I was so happy. The Evergreen Retirement Home is surely one of the best that I have come across in Mississauga. I went on a search for a retirement place for my sister and after visiting several, I had a meeting with Community Relations Manager, Ms. Teodora Elez, who took me on a tour of the facility and then we met in her office to discuss the terms and conditions, etc. Ms Teodora Elez answered all my questions exceeding well. To summarize, I found the staff to be very dedicated and to provide excellent service to their community. I therefore enlisted my sister around early September last year, and she has been very happy with the service and activities since that time. My thanks go to the wonderful management staff of the Evergreen Retirement Home.

Evergreen Retirement Community is such a warm and welcoming home for so many! The staff are beyond greatness and give family members the warmth and assurance of knowing their Loved One is so well looked after. Our Loved One has been at Evergreen for 11 years, and we couldn’t ask for a better team of caring individuals! Sharlette is so much more than Front Desk Reception. Both Family Members and Residents know that Sharlette is so caring, so knowledgeable and so approachable! We are so blessed to have Sharlette at Evergreen. Melody the Wellness Manager is also amazing and we turn to her for anything health-related. She always welcomes us in and offers solutions while addressing any concerns we may have. Brandon & Danielle are so great at making sure the residents are active through exercises classes and so many activities.
Teresa and Brigitta are amazing in the Dining Room and always accommodate any requests wherever possible, but they also keep an eye out for things that may be noticeable in helping your Loved One be cared for. Eva, from the housekeeping team, is amazing! She has stepped up more than once to always help our Loved One with challenges. The residents know they can turn to her and like Family, she will support them. Dennis the Maintenance Manager, is called upon frequently and always makes residents a priority. There are so many team members that, while I have missed mentioning, deserve to be recognized. This is a team that truly cares about our Loved Ones. Every one of these team members goes beyond their job duties for the Senior Residents of Evergreen, and we are so grateful for every one of them!

My father has been at Evergreen since Feb 2024, on the Assisted Living floor. It was an emotional transition for the family, but the staff at Evergreen is incredibly kind and welcoming. They treat him like family, and all of the nurses and PSWs on staff are wonderful. The residence is clean and well cared for. We'd highly recommend Evergreen and feel very comfortable with the care we receive from all staff. And the other residents are wonderful as well.

The staff are all supportive and very friendly. Some of the residents that I have gotten to know through our mother have a good sense of humour and are friendly. Natasha has been there from the beginning, supportive, understanding, respectful, and easy to talk to. Also, I have come across strangers who have a family member or know of someone who has a loved one at Evergreen and has had only positive things to say. It's clean, entertainment, library, and activities. The menu is different every day.

Evergreen Retirement Home is a wonderful community filled with friendly, caring, attentive, and efficient staff. The variety of social, interactive, and faith-based activities provided are meaningful and enjoyed by all residents.
My mother's initial stay was during her respite care period, where she was treated with the utmost care and respect. Parveen was so sweet and caring and would consistently ensure we were kept informed of my mom's progress during her respite care. And continues to inquire about my mom's well-being every time she sees her.
My mom had such a wonderful experience that she decided to become a permanent resident. Theodora was very thorough and extremely helpful in providing answers to all of our questions. Theodora also introduced my mom to other Portuguese residents and staff to ease any concerns and ensure a smooth transition from respite care to permanent care.
Natasha took the time to follow up after my mom's move to ensure she had settled in comfortably, had everything she needed, had made friends, and took care of any requests we had efficiently and always with a warm, friendly, caring attitude.
From Uma and Sharlette at the front desk to Brandon and Daniela, my mom and family are always greeted warmly with a friendly smile and helpful assistance. They make an effort to know each resident and their individual needs.
Christina and all the dining room staff are all patient, friendly, and really take the time to get to know the residents and their food preferences. The residents all seem to enjoy the food and look forward to their meals.
From Melody, to the dedicated doctor, nurses, and PSWs, to the cleaning and maintenance staff, all are friendly and helpful. A huge thank you to everyone for their dedicated service as they each play a role in enriching the lives of the residents and providing peace of mind for the families. We already have and continue to recommend Evergreen to others looking for a retirement community.

I am so glad that I chose Evergreen Retirement Community for my respite stay after surgery. Meeting Natasha Murray, the Community Relations Manager, who gave me the royal tour of the property, guided me on what to expect moving in. I felt very much at home, and the staff were so attentive to my every need. The food was always excellent. Something new and yummy to look forward to each day. If I wasn't up to going to the dining room, they would bring it to my apt. The accommodation was very clean and nicely furnished. 2 TVs to watch my favorite shows while convalescing. Having my hair done on-site was so convenient, and not have to go out. Lots of activities if one wishes to participate. I loved staying there and didn't want to go home! I highly recommend staying at this property.

When I learned that my Dad was considering moving to Evergreen, I called to get some preliminary information. I was put through to Teadora, and she answered all my questions, providing dates and times for a tour. A few weeks later my Dad, sister, and I came to Evergreen. Teadora greeted us in the lobby with a warm welcome and beautiful smile. She gave us a tour of all the amenities and available suites, answering all of our questions patiently. She is professional, friendly and very caring. Teadora has a wonderful manner with the residents, which we saw firsthand throughout our visit. Dad decided that day he would move to Evergreen, and we felt confident that he would be well taken care of.
When a parent moves to a retirement home, it is a big change for them and for the family. Having someone like Teadora be part of that transition is comforting. We have also had the pleasure of meeting other members of the team, all of them have been lovely. I look forward to getting to know them all better. We have visited several retirement homes, and from the moment we met Teodoro Elez in the beautifully bright atrium, we knew we were in the right place for me. Teodora was understanding of my needs immediately. She gave me several options and seemed to know what I would enjoy. I made my mind up on the spot that Evergreen will be lovely new home for the rest of my life. Teodora is such a kind and caring person as were Brendan, Melody, Teresa and Marlene, the other staff I had the pleasure of meeting.

We began looking for a retirement facility for my dad, not something we ever expected to do. We were blown away by Evergreen! The facilities are amazing with lots of activities to do including exercises, bowling, swimming, the spa and the library as well as external trips. I honestly felt like I was at a resort both with the activities and the physical spaces! Everyone is very friendly and it is quite evident how much each staff cares for the residents. We loved the different levels of care available to residents as well and the open and honest nature of Sarah, the sales rep. We walked out of there thinking we would love to live there and we're only in our early 50s! It is definitely an environment my dad would love. 5 stars to Evergreen for sure.

We were looking for a retirement living building for my 95 year old father. We live in Western Canada and my sister in law lives in northern Ontario so the logistics of making evrything go well were challenging! My wife found Evergreen and we were able so set up a tour via email and they made it so easy! Prit was amazing and even went so far as to go to my dads former residence in Brampton to go over everything with him. They also sent a ride to pick him up to come to Evergreen to tour. We were all sold after he had the first tour. The building is in amazing shape. The staff goes far above and beyond what we expected. I was able to go visit right after the initial move to help him set his place up. Everyone made me feel so welcome. They handled his medical and prescription needs, his meals were all top notch. They check on him when he does not make a meal apperance or they havent seen him. I felt very secure having him there. Shout out to Prit, Sarah, Danielle, Jessica, Jennifer, Bridgette, Sharlotte, Rose, and Beverly for making me feel so welcome and helping my dad with everything. Top marks for Evergreen!

We cannot begin to express how much we love the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community. They have always been supportive, caring , kind and helpful. However, never had this been more important than during this time [the pandemic - ed]. As an only child, having my mom taken care of by this facility has been a God-send. They have always been available to answer all our questions, and concerns promptly with care, love and patience. It is so clear how much everyone cares for the residents and how much of a “ family “ they all consider themselves to be. They have maintained the utmost care in establishing clear and concise protocols and have remained free of any outbreak - a true blessing in this scary time.
