Hazelton Place focuses on offering a variety of activities and attractions to bring residents together and facilitate a lifestyle that is as active (or as quiet) as you want. Set in the heart of Yorkville, the area is rife with history, including U of T buildings, and it's reinvigorated with many new shops and outdoor cafes to go along with the area's galleries and shopping. One of the most notable features of this residence is the spaciousness of the lounges and three dining rooms.

When looking for a retirement home for my father, I had heard nothing but good things from neighbours and others in the community about the Briton House. Our own experience was very positive with very caring staff who would go above and beyond to support my father's needs. Staff turnover was low allowing team members to get to know my dad (and family members like myself). Excellent slate of activities for residents in the independent living floors. Very clean and rigorously maintained building facilities.

I'm so thankful for the Briton House staff. The PSWs, nurses, and recreational therapist on the memory care unit care for residents with genuine warmth, patience, and kindness. The admin, management, and wellness teams communicate with clarity and sensitivity, which is of paramount importance during challenging times. The facilities are thoughtfully designed for seniors, with the beautiful sunlit atrium as the highlight. Thank you for warmly welcoming my dad into your community.

My story begins with panic. I had one month to move my 94 year old mom to a retirement home close to me at Yonge and Eglinton. I phoned every one in the area. The only one that understood my pain was Jared, Marketing manager at the Briton House. Immediately, we had a meeting. The care and compassion was outstanding. I signed on the dotted line he and his staff had a beautiful suite ready for mom... My mom is so happy thanks to everyone at the Briton House.

I researched many retirement homes in Toronto, and Briton House stood out for many reasons. Family owned and operated, an excellent reputation, positive referrals and reasonable pricing put Briton House on the short list. It was quick and easy to book a tour and we were impressed with the comfortable hotel-like atmosphere, relaxing atrium and amenities. Once my loved one moved in, the caring and competent staff provided an environment where she was able to enjoy regular meals, be supported with personal care and flourish, becoming the happy, social person she was before being diagnosed with dementia. You can trust that residents are well cared for, safe and living their best life.

My mom moved here a month ago, it is fantastic. Beautiful facilities, great activities and food and the management and nursing staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

I have been here for nine months and love coming to provide service for my client. The staff and residents are super nice. Best place ever!!!

My mother was always very independent and reluctant to move to Hazelton Place because she "didn't need help". However, after visiting the Residence, she agreed to move into a lovely 1-bedroom apartment in 2021. She quickly made friends and started to enjoy participating in many of the activities, including current events discussions, concerts, and exercise classes. Overall, my mother and I were very happy with our decision to move to Hazelton and very grateful to the Hazelton team for their devoted and dedicated support and assistance as my mother's needs increased over the last few years.

We are in the process of moving my mom and stepfather into the Hazelton, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience — thanks in large part to Chula. From the very beginning, she has been proactive, kind, and incredibly thoughtful. It’s clear she genuinely cares, and that really stood out in the warm, patient way she has treated my mom throughout the entire process. We had explored a few Amica properties and another Verve location, but the experience with Chula was on a completely different level — in the best possible way. What could have been a stressful transition has felt smooth and reassuring, and that means a lot to our entire family. We’ve also been so impressed by all the staff at the Hazelton — everyone has been welcoming, helpful, and truly amazing to work with. Located in the heart of Yorkville, just north of Bloor Street, Hazelton Place offers independent and assisted living. One or two bedroom apartment-style suites with kitchenette. Services include three meals a day, housekeeping, entertainment, recreational/fitness programs and group outings. 24-hour registered nursing staff, and emergency response system. 3 dining rooms, spacious lounges with fireplaces, library, gym, hair salon, therapeutic spa and gardens. Resident parking underground.

Our pride and enthusiasm is exceedingly real but in the final analysis it’s your approval that is important and we will always do our best to achieve that.

We cater to seniors and at every retirement living stage, so they never have to worry about having to move again. We offer quality services for Independent seniors, Independent Living Plus seniors who might need minimal support, Assisted Living for residents who require more care and attention and Assisted Living Memory Care, which is reserved for memory-impaired residents. It is a secure unit with an open door concept.
