There are a number of things about this community that make it easy to move here. There's the encouragement to personalize your suite with effects from your home. Another is the warmth of staff, who create a strong sense of kinship and community. Here, community includes not just every senior, but staff and family of residents. Adult children love how they are included in all important discussions.
There’s lots to love about Sunstone Apartments, but its most striking quality is its utter newness. This is a unique chance to get in on the ground floor of what promises to be an exemplary 55 plus community. As this community grows, and as they develop the Village Center, you’ll be glad to have been one of the early adopters.
We have been exploring Thornebridge for my dad. The staff have been EXTREMELY helpful and transparent in navigating the best care for dad. Very grateful for their expertise and assistance in navigating different care options for dad.
We had a tour with Pam, and it was excellent and impressive, to say the least! The facility is well maintained, staff members are constantly around, and my mother, whom I took in to see it, mentioned that everyone seems like they’re in good spirits, which was GREAT to hear from the person who is potentially going to attend the residence! We also tasted the food, and it was delicious! I haven’t seen my 80-year-old mother eat as much as she did! Pam was a gracious host and a very detailed tour guide. We are seriously considering a move to Thornebridge for my mom, and I would recommend it to anyone!
My 100 year old mom from Calgary wanted to see her sister-in-law Alice S. as they haven’t seen each other for many years. The staff made us so welcome and the accommodations are so beautiful, I had a hard time leaving! Thank you all for making our stay so wonderful! It meant the world to us! Oh! And the food! Just incredible!
My mom is a very young 93, and she loves the youth connection at Thornebridge. She’s gained new friendships among the youth ambassador program there… You can have as much social life there as you want. For people who like having a big group of friends like my mom, she’s been able to take advantage of the knitting and the bridge clubs, movie nights. One of her favourite things this year is that she has started a gardening club. She’s made some really great friendships there. We’ve been so grateful that she’s so well looked after… [It’s] a place that gives [seniors] what they need.
My mother has lived at Thornebridge Gardens for 4 years. She wanted to live there, so put her house up for sale, and Thornebridge found her the perfect suite. Being almost 92, she is needing more help these days, and the staff are very helpful. Although she does pay extra for the help, help is there. The staff are very patient as well, and handle [her] well.

Sunstone Rentals is the newest addition to North Delta. A 70 unit independent living facility for those 55+ (at least one resident must be over 55), we offer a retirement living community tailored for those wanting to downsize. The building is a four story modern and architecturally unique design with units ranging from 1 and 2-bedroom floor plans, many with dens, all with decks and patios. We offer seven different floor plans to cater to your individual down-sizing needs.
We serve two delicious, homecooked meals prepared by our Chef and her culinary team daily. A continental breakfast and healthy snacks with many options are available in the Country Kitchen from 8 am to 8 pm daily. Whenever possible we source local products as part of our Living Loving Local program.
Thornebridge is situated on beautiful grounds with walking paths and a private, inner courtyard with ample seating.

That is why it is important for us to meet with each person in a private and warm atmosphere to discuss any medical history as well as receive back a completed medical form before moving in. Attention to individual needs and wellness is a priority at Thornebridge Gardens Retirement Residence.
We do require ID on file for at least one resident proving the 55+ age requirement.
