Moving into a new home is a significant transition. At Delmanor West Village, the team is focused on making that transition feel natural, supported, and unhurried. From the moment residents arrive, they are warmly greeted by the concierge team and welcomed into the community. Families are welcomed too — because settling in well is a shared experience, and the Delmanor West Village team is there for everyone involved.
Many residents touring and moving to NHT are living independently; driving, travelling, shopping and cooking. No matter how independent you are, we recognize that any move is a big deal! Our Marketing Manager is here to guide you through the touring, application and moving process and can recommend additional resources.
We anticipate new resident concerns with introductions and orientations to your community and fellow residents.
What we most often hear after someone moves is how warm and welcoming their neighbours are! Residents have formed their own committee with the goal of welcoming and orienting new residents to NHT.

At Delmanor West Village, the community is designed to support a continuum of care, so residents can stay in the home they love as their needs evolve. Independent living residents who require additional support can transition to the dedicated assisted living floor without leaving the community they call home. The familiar surroundings, relationships, and daily routines they have built remain intact. Outside care providers are welcomed where needed, and the team works alongside them to ensure continuity of care. The goal is simple: residents stay, feel supported, and continue to live well.
While the majority of residents are choosing New Horizons Tower for an independent lifestyle we do have additional services and supports that can be offered in your independent suite. Residents also have the choice to bring in outside supports instead if they wish.
Should residents benefit from a higher care environment there are two assisted living floors with dedicated 24 hour staffing, dining, exercise groups and programming on our Terrace (Assisted/LTC Living) and Oasis (Memory Care) floors.

The most common surprise is how quickly it feels like home. Staff learn residents' names within hours of arrival, not days. Residents expecting standard retirement home meals instead find chef-prepared dishes, attentive service, and an atmosphere that feels closer to a favourite restaurant.
