A family member stayed at Canterbury Place for respite care and is very grateful for the experience. The residence has a warm, welcoming feeling; the facilities are very nice, and the staff is friendly, attentive, and consistently goes above and beyond. It gave us real peace of mind knowing he was being cared for in such a kind and supportive environment.

My company has assisted with a few moves into Canterbury. Simone is absolutely wonderful. She is quick to answer questions; she's compassionate and understanding. All the staff say hello to you and will help you in an instant. The food is wonderful. As soon as you walk through the doors, you are well taken care of. A true gem of a place.

I enjoyed my two-week stay in February 2026. My suite at Canterbury Place was attractive and comfortable. The meals were tasty and attractively served. The atmosphere was calm and caring. I appreciated that hot beverages were always available. The laundry room was accessible, but I needed instructions to use the up-to-date washer and dryer. I will choose Cantebury Pace for residence if and when I need help or respite from my daily living.

I had a very enjoyable two-week respite stay at Canterbury Place. The staff are very nice and most helpful. There are good meals with a choice, and they are attractively presented.

A month ago, I spent two weeks in respite care at Canterbury Place after my knee-replacement operation. I would like to point out the exceptional treatment I received from Simone Rowe, Community Relations manager. From the first telephone call when I was trying to arrange respite care to my time at the residence, Simone was wonderful, even though, due to the cancellation of my operation by the hospital, I had to change arrangements at Canterbury Place twice. My stay at the residence was excellent. I would like to compliment the warm staff.

THE DUNFIELD RETIREMENT RESIDENCE

We're thoroughly enjoying living at The Dunfield, coming up to our 2-year mark. Outstanding staff respond promptly to every need and are uniformly in good spirits. Delicious meals with very flexible arrangements; they make it very easy to host guests. Weekly housekeeping. Extensive activities program with trips interspersed into a regular schedule of both active and relaxing options. Interesting group of residents with whom to share life. Residents may live as independently as they choose. Great location in the city.

I spent nine months on the assisted living floor and spent some very happy times there. The nursing staff went out of their way to assist me with any need necessary; even finding a snack or drink in the wee small hours! The staff think of us as family and show much love and laughter. Every day, residents are brought out into the lounge, and during the warm days, those who would like are taken out to the garden to enjoy a little fresh air. There is a theatre on the second floor that has movies every night, and should a resident wish, someone on staff will take them down and bring them back up.

I chose to come to Dunfield after a careful search. I have been here 6 months now, and it has exceeded my expectations. The staff is terrific without exception. If food quality is important to you, you will not be disappointed. A wide variety of food is always available because there are two dining choices: The Bistro or the Dining Room. And finally, there is always something going on to keep your mind occupied and your body fit. It’s a busy, beautiful place and that suits me just fine.

My father is a resident on the assisted-living floor at the Dunfield. It is a wonderful place with friendly, welcoming, and helpful staff. The food in the dining room is delicious. My father particularly enjoys the library and concerts.

Our mother moved into the assisted living area a few months ago and has enjoyed a big improvement in her quality of life. She has surprised herself to see how much she is embracing the social opportunities. She is able to be a part of the full Dunfield community, and we are grateful for that.
