Agassiz Seniors Community by Park Place is a beautiful place to live, outside and in. From the exterior, look out on Mount Cheam and other Cascade Mountains. Inside is a warm, friendly, comfortable seniors’ community ideal for people who want to live a more relaxed, independent lifestyle than they would in their home or condo.
The Village Langley is a state-of-the-art memory care community, an ideal setting for people dealing with the adverse effects of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. They can live here safely, free to come and go wherever they like within The Village. Families' worries about tendencies to elopement dissipate. But there's so much more. Residents live a lifestyle that promotes more activity and requires less medication. The environment itself is a holistic treatment.
The nursing and admin staff here have been amazing. I am not able to visit directly with my mom, who has dementia—because my son is severely immunocompromised, so they have been working with me to help her with FaceTime so she can see us and know we are still with her and love her, even though we can’t be there. I cannot thank them enough for the care they have given to her and us!!
My mother received excellent care until she passed away. She made an easy transition and was content during the number of years spent there. I would call from New Brunswick to see how she was doing, and the people I spoke to were always helpful and courteous.
My Father had an easy transition into his new residence at Agassiz Seniors Community. Nice room, comfortable environment, great staff, well looked after!!

We are happy with the facility.
My Grandpa moved in about 6 months ago, and our experience as a family and his experience have been wonderful. He's able to walk the grounds, eat great food, and receive genuine care, which puts everyone's mind at ease. Thank you to the entire team! We can't thank you enough.
Three years later, and my Aunt is still loving this very special home. The team here is exceptional, and they take the time to sit with her and care for her as if she were family. The Village is a special place. I am so happy my Aunt was able to move in here and get a beautiful room overlooking the grassy area. The staff is very attentive to her needs. She is happy she can now go for long walks on the grounds.
My wife has been at The Village Langley in assisted living (Holly House) for about 2 years. We were fortunate to be able to move her from her first care home to The Village Langley, which is much nicer in so many ways. It is a beautifully designed facility that truly feels like a village! There is always a warm and welcoming feeling there. There are beautiful walkways, flower beds, a red barn with animals, a pasture, and gardens. They recently added a very impressive water feature along “Main Street“. The staff are always very friendly and attentive, and do everything they can to make my wife comfortable and happy. They schedule a lot of interesting activities for the residents and encourage residents to participate. In my opinion, it is much like the best summer camp I ever attended as a youth! Lots of fun activities, good food, happy, friendly staff, clean, and beautiful buildings and surroundings. When my time comes, I hope they will have space for me at The Village Langley! Highly recommended, and our family has had no bad experiences at all!
After visiting and touring endless care facilities, there was simply no contest after we toured The Village Langley. Not only did it check all the boxes we were looking for to provide the very best care, enrichment and quality of life for our mom but the concept and layout is designed to create a safe and welcoming neighborhood setting that you can call home. It looks and feels like a village vs the standard care facilities that are less home-like and more institutional-like. There is a place to gather with family and friends at the coffee shop/community center where you can sit by a fireplace or take part in the many activities. There is a hair salon, walking trails, gardens, an orchard, and a little red barn with chickens and goats. The property is tucked away in a very established, peaceful neighborhood a few kilometers from Langley City. And, while the property and amenities are like no other, the real stars of The Village are the staff (and the pets that some of them bring to the Village). I visit my mom at different times throughout the week and have always experienced the staff to be so genuinely committed and passionate about truly providing a ‘person-centered’ style of care which is so vital for the specialized needs of those living with dementia. It gives us peace of mind that our mom is receiving such respectful, dignified and tailored care for her needs to live the life she so deserves. All senior care homes should be modeled after The Village Langley.
The Village gave my Mom the opportunity to live her best life in her last years. The Village is a paradise for loved ones living with dementia. It has the resources, training and incredible facilities in place to properly care for people with dementia. My mom lives in a true home-like environment, with accessible walking trails and tons of outdoor space, a garden full of flowers, vegetables, and even chickens. There is a community center and a whole host of programming. The Village feels like a true neighborhood. The staff is well trained in dementia care, and while she has aged and can no longer walk, she is always treated with compassion, dignity, and customized care. The Village has been designed as a place where the staff never has to tell a dementia resident the word "No". The residents of The Village receive custom care tailored exactly to what they need in the moment. In a landscape of care homes that do not have the resources or training to handle people living with dementia, and will often lock them up in hallway style living, or treat aggressive behaviours with a trip to the hospital, the Village truly is a remarkable gem. The Village is an incredible and very necessary resource for families living with dementia. We feel lucky to have our Mom in their care.

We are more than a residence; we are a place where seniors maintain independence while receiving compassionate care. Our wide hallways, mobility-friendly design, and daily activities from exercise classes to educational programs; ensure every resident feels engaged and supported. Families appreciate our guest suite and proximity to walking trails, while seniors enjoy the freedom to live fully, with 24/7 nursing care available for those with complex needs. At our heart, we are a warm, active, and caring community—where comfort, dignity, and joy define everyday life
The Village is Canada’s first village-style residence specializing in supporting those with dementia & memory conditions. Our cottage-style living is surrounded by five acres of secured grounds with walking paths, gardens, and koi pond. You’ll be able to explore your surroundings safely & securely. Our focus is on providing an enriched living experience where each person experiences a purposeful & meaningful life.
At Agassiz Seniors Community, our strength lies in personalized care and genuine connection. Families choose us for our warm, small-town feel, where staff know residents by name and treat them like family. Our independent living manager is highly praised for creating engaging activities and fostering community spirit. Residents appreciate our responsiveness; whether it’s sourcing fresh produce or organizing hymn sings. It’s this attentive, heart-centered approach that makes Agassiz a preferred choice.
We believe and practice a resident-centric approach. We are happy to offer many choices for our residents so they can live the way they wish to live. At one of our communities' residents gain independence, have help when they need it and enjoy everything this lifestyle has to offer.
At Agassiz Seniors Community, we help residents settle in with a welcoming orientation, weekly housekeeping, and access to a detailed resident handbook outlining services and amenities. Our independent living manager fosters engagement through personalized activities and open forums that build trust and connection. Residents enjoy access to common areas, a guest suite for visiting family, and weekly linen service; all designed to create comfort and familiarity from day one.
Our Villager and family orientation helps those who have moved here to learn all about the different services we offer. With our experience and understanding, this is new experience for some, we want to make this transition as smooth as possible for families and new Villager's. Our leadership team works closely with families and Villager's to ensure all questions are answered and a new Villager is feeling at ease. New Villager's' are welcomed with housewarming parties, monthly dinner dates and pub nights are a great way to get to know others in the community.
At Agassiz Seniors Community, changing needs are met with compassion and flexibility. Our suites are designed to be adaptable, allowing residents to remain in familiar surroundings as care needs evolve. Transitions are guided by interdisciplinary teams who involve residents and families in planning, ensuring care remains personalized and respectful. Managed risk agreements and advance care planning help residents make informed choices about their health and lifestyle. Outside providers—like podiatrists and dental hygienists—can be brought in to support continuity of care.
At The Village Langley, change is something we’re prepared for, because supporting people living with dementia is at the heart of everything we do. As needs evolve, we adjust thoughtfully and gently, always within a familiar and reassuring environment. Our team takes the time to truly know each Villager—their history, their routines, what brings them comfort—so care can shift in a way that still feels consistent and respectful. It’s about meeting each person where they are, while helping them continue to experience moments of connection, purpose, and calm in their day.
Agassiz Seniors Community is best suited for seniors who value a warm, close-knit environment and a lifestyle rooted in simplicity, connection, and personalized care. However, it may not be the ideal fit for those seeking a highly urban setting, or a fast-paced social calendar. Our community emphasizes comfort, familiarity, and meaningful relationships. Seniors who prioritize independence with light support thrive here, while those requiring intensive memory care or specialized medical services may benefit more from a community designed specifically for those needs. We believe in helping families find the right match, even if that means guiding them elsewhere.
The Village is purpose-built for people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and that focus shapes every aspect of life here. We’re not a traditional retirement home. What we offer is something different, a deeply supportive environment designed specifically for those navigating memory loss and other effects of dementia, where both Villager and their families can feel a sense of reassurance and belonging.
Residents often arrive expecting a quiet retirement but are pleasantly surprised by the vibrant sense of connection and responsiveness. Staff regularly tailor activities to resident interests, and even small requests—like sourcing fresh produce or organizing hymn sings—are met with care. The Independent Living Manager is known for fostering a welcoming, engaged atmosphere. Many discover that Agassiz offers not just comfort, but a true sense of belonging that exceeds expectations.
The biggest thing we feel Villager’s will find surprising about The Village Langley is the vision and what we offer. We are not a typical care community; our approach is entirely resident focused. We take pride in the work we do and what we offer. Our goal each and every day is to provide our Villager’s the autonomy to direct their own day and live their best life. We do not see their medical needs and diagnosis as a limitation, but rather a unique set of abilities that will provide purpose to our community and Village family.
In the next five years, Agassiz Seniors Community will continue evolving to meet the changing needs of residents while staying true to its warm, people-first mission. We envision more resident-led programming, enhanced wellness services, and refreshed common spaces that foster connection and comfort. As technology and care models advance, we’ll thoughtfully integrate new supports to promote independence and dignity. Our goal is to grow with our residents—strengthening the sense of belonging and ensuring Agassiz remains a trusted, vibrant place to call home.
Looking ahead, we’ll continue to build on the Villager-centred approach that defines life at The Village Langley today. We’re always learning, always evolving, and always listening to residents and families, so we can deepen the ways we support dignity, comfort, and meaningful daily experiences. Our goal has always been to create a place where people living with dementia are safe, valued, and at home, and where families can feel the utmost confidence their loved one is truly cared for.
